Old Charter Chinkapin Oak draws its distinctive character from barrels crafted with Chinkapin Oak, a wood known for its strength and rich flavor. Before being assembled, the staves are air-dried for two years, far longer than the industry standard, allowing the oak’s natural complexity to deepen. As it aged at Buffalo Trace Distillery, the bourbon developed layers of flavor shaped by time and season.
