Elmer Tandy Lee (1919-2013) was a legendary figure in the world of American bourbon and the namesake behind Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel bourbon. One of Lee’s most enduring legacies is pioneering the commercial single barrel bourbon concept. In 1984 he launched Blanton’s Single Barrel in tribute to Colonel Albert B. Blanton’s “honey barrel” selections, creating a new premium niche in the bourbon industry.
