E.H. TAYLOR, JR. OLD FASHIONED SOUR MASH

Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey

In 1996, at a gathering of Buffalo Trace Distillery retirees, a long-lost method for making “Old Fashioned Sour Mash” whiskey was recalled, a technique Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. famously used in the late 1800s. This bourbon, distilled in 2002, is a modern replication of that historic process. By allowing the mash to sour naturally for days before distillation, it delivers a bourbon with character, depth and body like none other today.

TASTING NOTES

The flavor begins with a floral aroma and an undertone of freshly baked bread.

The palate is unusually fresh and light; like honey drizzled over toast.

There is a clean finish with hints of leather.
